Using GPU’s in the Field:

Home and Office:

While many consider the GeForce series of Nvidia graphics cards “gaming” cards, they have an incredibly wide variety of uses. One of the main specialties of these cards is the ability to have multiple monitors. Multiple monitors can increase your productivity greatly. For example, a student working on a research paper can have a website open that has information and sources on one screen, and on the other be writing the actual paper with the reference just a glance away. Sure beats having to cycle back and forth between pages. This can also be useful in the office as well with the same type of concept. If an employee is doing data entry, they can have the data set on one screen and the table on the other, taking out the time taken switching between windows. An example where multiple monitors is used greatly is in stock trading. This is a specific field of use, but if you are in that field, multiple screens is a must.

Now, having 8 screens may be overkill in some cases, but in stock trading, a common theme is having 3 monitors. Each monitor does different work such as scanning the market for stocks that are moving, viewing a certain stock and making predictions or watching a news stream of press releases. All this requires an incredible amount of power which the GeForce graphics cards are able to provide. Whether it be used for watching videos at home or stock trading in real time, the GeForce cards will be able to do it all.

For Professionals:

The Nvidia Quadro line of GPU’s are considered to be some of the best graphics cards in the market for professional environments. Some of these environments include engineers, aerospace designers, physics, 3D engineering, etc. There are so many different ways that the Quadro line can be utilized. The Quadro line not only offers multiple monitor displays but offer an incredible amount of power at the touch of your finger tips.

Rendering using the Quadro line of GPU’s can cut the time taken to complete this task by an incredible amount. Some products that truly utilize the line of Quadro’s are SolidWorks, Autodesk, 3DS Max, Maya, Mudbox, Adobe Photoshop, etc. The real selling point of these graphics cards are that the cost for the performance you get is incredible. Using the right Quadro for your line of work can cut production and render times immensely. These cards do not limit themselves, giving you the best power at the touch of a button.
